Care Foundation Hosts Inter-Faith Conference to Promote Harmony and Peace in Srinagar

A one-day Inter-Faith Conference was organised by Dr. Mehjabeen Nabi, Founder and President of Care Foundation & Charitable Trust, at the Conference Hall, Tagore Hall, Srinagar, with the objective of promoting dialogue, mutual understanding and harmony among people of diverse faiths.

The conference brought together distinguished religious scholars, eminent personalities, intellectuals and social workers for meaningful deliberations on the importance of peaceful coexistence, mutual respect and brotherhood.

Among the prominent speakers and intellectuals were Mufti-e-Azam Kashmir Dr. Nasir-ul-Islam, Mufti Shareef-ul-Haq Bukhari, Mirwaiz Central Kashmir Molvi Syed Abdul Lateef Bukhari, Mufti Hasan Afzal Firdousi, Mr. Aijaz Ahmed Kakroo, Mr. Phillip John, Dr. M. S. Pali, Adv. Abdul Rashid Hanjura, Mr. Firdous and Mr. Satish Vimal, besides several other dignitaries.

In her inaugural address, Dr. Mehjabeen Nabi highlighted the significance of interfaith harmony and peaceful coexistence as essential pillars of social development. She emphasised the need to build bridges of understanding and strengthen bonds of brotherhood across religious communities.

The event was presided over by Mufti-e-Azam Kashmir, Dr. Nasir-ul-Islam. The ensuing discussion focused on fostering love, respect, peace and mutual understanding among followers of different faiths.

The programme was skillfully conducted by Dr. Wahid Raza, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Malik Noor-ul-Amin, General Secretary of Care Foundation & Charitable Trust.

Certificates were also distributed among the participants in recognition of their valuable presence and contribution to the conference.
