Care Foundation & Charitable Trust Spreads Joy with Specially-Abled Children’s Recreational Tour to Gulmarg
Care Foundation and Charitable Trust continues its noble mission of serving humanity and uplifting the underprivileged sections of society. As part of its ongoing efforts to bring joy and empowerment to specially-abled children, the Trust organized a special recreational tour to Gulmarg on 21st September 2025. The initiative was aimed at spreading happiness, boosting confidence and creating cherished memories for the young participants. Around 80 specially-abled children took part in this remarkable event and their excitement and joy became the true highlight of the day.
The tour was flagged off from CRC Bemina, Srinagar, where a brief flagging-off ceremony was held in the presence of several dignitaries. Among those who graced the occasion were Dr. Mehjabeen Nabi, Chairperson Care Foundation & Charitable Trust, Mr. Farooq Renzoo Shah, Moulana Miyan Adil Noorani, Tahir Ashraf Bhatti, Mtr. Nighat Aman, Mushtaq Ali Ahmad, Engineer Bupinder Singh, Sheikh Firdous ali Chairman Rehmatan lil alameen foundation, Dr. Mir Ghulam Hassan,Shamim Ahamed Kuchay, Noor Muhammad Wani, Noor ul Amin, Khurshid Qureshi, Hussain Zalpoori, Afaq Ahmad,Aiza Fazili and many others. Their presence not only encouraged the children but also reflected the collective commitment of society towards inclusion and care for specially-abled individuals.
Upon reaching Gulmarg, the children were given a warm reception and a series of engaging programs were organized to ensure their active participation. Special activities such as wheelchair cricket, races, fun games, and cultural performances were conducted. The children displayed remarkable enthusiasm and talent, turning the valley’s natural beauty into a ground of cheer and celebration.
A particularly inspiring part of the event was when the participants themselves came forward to share their personal and thought-provoking stories. They spoke about their struggles, hopes and achievements, leaving everyone deeply moved. Their ideas and heartfelt sharings impressed the audience and served as a reminder of the resilience, determination and creativity that lies within these young minds.
During the occasion, Dr. Mehjabeen Nabi extended gratitude and appreciation for the support extended by the Chief Executive Officer Gulmarg Mr.Tariq Hussain Naik and acknowledged the cooperation of all concerned departments in facilitating the smooth conduct of this event. The children, as well as the dignitaries, applauded the sincere endeavors of Care Foundation and Charitable Trust for continuously striving for the welfare and dignity of needy and marginalized sections of society.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Khurshid Qureshi, who expressed heartfelt appreciation to all dignitaries, guests, participants and especially to Bilal Ahmad Bhat (GDA) and other staff of the department for their valuable support in making the day a memorable success. The Trust reaffirmed its commitment to continue such initiatives in the future, aiming to create a more compassionate and inclusive society where every individual is celebrated for their abilities rather than limitations.
